As followers of Jesus, we’re called to share the gospel.
Some of us are really good at this and others…not so much.
Maybe you’re like me and you’ve taken spiritual gifts assessments only to discover that you don’t “rank” particularly high in evangelism.
Perhaps you’ve taken a class at church or read a book or two on the subject while feeling a bit disappointed in yourself that you’re not more gifted in this area.
Before you get too down on yourself, let me encourage you.
The best form of evangelism is to be a lover of God.
That’s right, to love others the way God loves you is the height of the gospel.
It’s undeniable Good News.
When we are fully and completely loved, we relax. We’re able to win the internal battle of acceptance over performance.
When we settle into the love of God, we are warmed and filled by it. We allow it to seep into every pore of our personality.
The reality and the experience of that love is so powerful it radically alters us. Our character and personality are adjusted by love so completely, that we literally become a new person.
A whole, new powerful state of being emerges in our hearts and lives.
Out of the radical love of Jesus, we become living examples of the gospel.
Who wouldn’t want that?
