Have you noticed that virtually every champion of the faith in the Bible moved from one crisis to another?
Just look at the lives of Moses, Joseph and Paul.
Crisis is a normal event on the road to fulfilling our destiny.
This fact can be hugely comforting or terrifying depending on how you view it.
We all want our destiny, as long as it’s a smooth path to get there. Crisis? No thank you!
And yet champions of the faith know that there can be no crisis without process.
Process is a series of steps that take us from one place to another. It is where the Father reveals His intentionality, His purpose, His plan.
We can be sure that no matter how powerful the opposition, God has a plan. Our role is to cooperate with the sovereignty of God.
The process is always about our development into the place that the Father has set aside for us in Christ.
All of our life circumstances are designed to produce the character, quality, personality and attitude that we need to develop in order to become the person He intends us to be in Christ.
Process is everything. There is no growth or maturity without it.
It is where we discover God at work in our lives. It is where we submit to the work of His hands. It is where He breaks our independence and self-reliance.
We learn in the process that the purpose of problems is to produce faith.
Crisis and the process it takes us through are where we discover God to be all that He ever said and all we will ever need.
