Do you remember the miracle in the Bible where Jesus walks on water?
John 6 tells us how the disciples had set off across the lake in a boat for Capernaum. When they had rowed about three or four miles, the wind started blowing and the waters got rough.
It was then they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on water. They were frightened but once He reassured them, they were willing to take Him into the boat.
Verse 21 says, “and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.”
Did you catch that?
Once they took hold of Jesus and put Him in the boat, immediately they reached the shore.
Why do we wait so long to put Jesus in our boat?
We have a choice every day – do we handle our own problems or allow Jesus to do what only He can do.
His ways are always higher, and in many cases, faster.
He won’t barge in and take over. He’s much too polite. He waits to be asked.
What challenges do we wrestle with over and over again that may be resolved immediately if only we allow Jesus to step in? What miracles might we see?
It takes faith to believe Jesus for miracles.
Big, bold, audacious faith.
Faith…and the willingness to put Jesus in our boat.
May we all begin to see more miracles.
